U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Brendan Zaleski, a cryptologic language analyst with 2nd Radio Battalion, II Marine Expeditionary Force Information Group, runs the 12.8 miles during the reconnaissance physical assessment test (RPAT) at Courthouse Bay, Camp Lejeune, N.C., April 26, 2021. The RPAT is part of a 45-day screening and physical conditioning program to ensure that Marines are ready for the Basic Reconnaissance Course (BRC). Once Marines make it through BRC, they earn the secondary military occupational specialty of 2623: radio reconnaissance Marine. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Yvonna Guyette)
