A soldier with the Maine Army National Guard, 136th Engineering Company, 3rd Platoon, notches out a beam during construction of a community pavilion at the Cathance River park in Topsham, June 21.The park project includes two community pavilions with restrooms and map signs at the head of a trail system in Topsham. The 136th seized the opportunity to not only contribute to the community, but also to train it's soldiers in real-world scenarios. Other units in the 133rd Engineering Battalion are also involved in community projects around Maine.
