View of the Wallace House at Somerville, N.J., April 20, 2021. The eight-room Georgian mansion, which is located at 71 Somerset St, was built in 1776. The house served as the headquarters of Gen. George Washington, Commander in Chief of the Continental Army, during the second Middlebrook encampment from 1778–79. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places Dec. 2, 1970.
