U.S. Marines with 8th Communications Battalion (8th Comm.), II Marine Expeditionary Force Information Group, set up a AN/TRC-170 Tropospheric Scatter Microwave Radio Terminal, at Camp Davis, North Carolina, April 13, 2021. The AN/TRC-170 allows communication between forward deployed forces without use of satellites. 8th Comm. conducted the field exercise in order to increase readiness and enable communications in an operational environment.
