A U.S. Marine with 8th Communications Battalion (8th Comm.), II Marine Expeditionary Force Information Group, operates a AN/TRC-170 Tropospheric Scatter Microwave Radio Terminal, at Camp Davis, North Carolina, April 14, 2021. The AN/TRC-170 allows communication between forward deployed forces without use of satellites. 8th Comm. conducted the field exercise in order to increase readiness to enable communications in a forward deployed environment.
