U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Pierre Castro, 673d Surgical Operations Squadron surgical technician, performs a surgical instrument inspection, post-surgical cleanings, for U.S. Air Force Col. Lee Mills, JBER and 673d ABW command chief, during a 673d SGCS immersion tour at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, Sept. 29, 2020. Aguilar familiarized herself with the 673d SGCS and its role in supporting readiness after taking command of the installation July 14, 2020. The 673d SGCS provides a full range of medical care to include surgical and non-surgical intervention to JBER and the greater Anchorage area.
