Newark, NJ, March 31, 2021—A Community Vaccination Center capable of vaccinating 6,000 people a day is open at the Naimoli Family Athletic and Recreation Facility on the campus of the New Jersey Institute of Technology. FEMA personnel along with the Department of Defense’s Title 10 Vaccination Support Team help local residents to get vaccinated for COVID-19. FEMA Region 2 Acting Regional Administrator Tom Fargione (center) and Federal Coordinating Officer Patrick Cornbill (left) meet with U.S. Air Force Brig. Gen. Wayne McCaughey, the Dual Status Commander for the NJ COVID-19 response.
