CAMP SHIELDS, Japan (Apr. 8, 2021) Senior Chief Electronics Technician Brian Kelley, Commander, Fleet Activities Okinawa command climate specialist, leads CFAO’s Holocaust Remembrance Day candlelight vigil at Camp Shields, Okinawa, Japan Apr. 8, 2021. Due to wind, most candles were represented by candle videos on cell phones. The event was held by CFAO’s multicultural committee in memory of the six million Jewish and millions of non-Jewish victims of the Holocaust. Holocaust Remembrance Day is the 27th day of Nisan on the Hebrew calendar; which in 2021 is Apr. 8. It marks the anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising.
