Unexploded ordnance (UXO) is disposed of on Ie Shima Training Facility (ISTF), Okinawa, Japan, April 6, 2021. Over the last five years, UXO found on Iejima has been stored awaiting destruction. At the request of the Ie Village office mayor, Japan Ground-Self Defense Force and Marine Corps Base Butler explosive ordnance disposal technicians conducted combined operations to destroy these hazards.
