Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF) explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) technicians with 101st Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit, prepare unexploded ordnance (UXO) for destruction on Ie Shima Training Facility (ISTF), Okinawa, Japan, April 6, 2021. Over the last five years, UXO found on Iejima has been stored awaiting destruction. At the request of the Ie Village office mayor, JGSDF and Marine Corps Base Butler EOD conducted combined operations to destroy these hazards.
