Maj. Gen. Patrick Hamilton, commanding general for Task Force Spartan, and Command Sgt. Maj. Jim Horn, commanding sergeant major for TF Spartan, meet with Sgt. 1st Class Mitchell Dorris, the TF Spartan sexual assault response coordinator, during a cake cutting ceremony in honor of Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month, April 1, 2021, at the Zone 2 dining facility at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. The ceremony also recognized the proclamation signed by Hamilton and Horn to signify the start of the month geared toward awareness of sexual assault and its prevention. The proclamation pledged to help stamp out sexual assault and harassment by, “building cohesive teams through character, trust, and resilience.” Sexual Assault Awareness Month is an annual campaign, taking place in April, to raise public awareness about sexual assault and educate communities and individuals on how to prevent sexual violence.
