Col. Gavin Gardner, commander of Joint Munitions Command, rode the rails with Capt. Danielle Chavarria, aide to the JMC commander, and Col. Stephen Dondero, commander of Crane Army Ammunition Activity, from a visit at Crane Army’s new shipping and receiving facility to a ready service magazine across the installation. The ride gave the commanders the opportunity to talk about both the overt and the subtle ways that Crane Army is modernizing. The train passed by buildings both new and old while the commanders talked with locomotive engineers about ways to enhance safety and improve efficiency to meet mission. Col.
