M4 Carbine assault rifles stand in a teepee formation, at the Djiboutian Police Range in Djibouti City, Djibouti, Aug. 29, 2012, during a firearms re-qualification course led by Task Force Raptor, 3rd Squadron, 124th Cavalry Regiment, Texas Army National Guard instructors. The instructors re-qualified 10 soldiers on the M9 pistol and M4 Carbine assault rifle to stay mission ready. The soldiers are assigned to the Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa, whose mission is to strengthen partner nation military capacity, promote regional stability, dissuade conflict, and protect U.S. and coalition interests within the combined joint operations area.
