210309-N-YR623-1004 DIEGO GARCIA, British Indian Ocean Territory (March 9, 2021) Construction Electrician Constructionman Chase Thorpe (left) and Builder 3rd Class Jesse Bartow, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 4, pour concrete to secure a post erected for use in the construction of a lean-to awning for the chapel. The awning is built in support of the contractors, allowing a larger congregation to be present during religious services while still adhering with social distancing regulations. NMCB 4 is forward‐deployed throughout the Indo‐Pacific region, ready to support major combat operations, humanitarian assistance, and disaster relief and provide general engineering and civil support to the U.S. and Joint Forces.
