210314-M-JX780-1717 RED SEA (March 14, 2021) – Egyptian guided-missile frigate ENS Sharm El-Sheikh (FFG 901), right, conducts a passing exercise with amphibious transport dock ship USS Somerset (LPD 25) in the Red Sea, March 14. Somerset and embarked 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit are deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and Pacific through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
