New York, NY, Feb. 24, 2021—York College, a 3000 vaccinations-per-day community center in Queens, is now open. FEMA personnel along with an active-duty Title 10 Vaccination Support Team deployed by the Department of Defense, are supporting each community vaccination center, with clinical, medical and administrative staff to help local residents to get vaccinated for COVID-19. FEMA is working with state, local, tribal and territorial governments on the critical need to open vaccine centers that ensure vulnerable and under-served populations have access to vaccines. K.C.
