Josh Roberts, a U.S. Paralympian, is treated for a cut by Suzy Kim, a U.S. Paralympic team doctor, Aug. 22, 2012, at RAF Lakenheath, England. Roberts was competing in the 100-meter, 200-meter, 400-meter and 800-meter races. More than 50 U.S. Paralympians and hopefuls were honing their skills and making final preparations for competition in the 2012 Paralympic Games in London. The Paralympics is a major international sporting event in which thousands of athletes, including wounded and injured U.S. service members, participate in a variety of sporting events.
