    Federal Vaccine Response

    U.S. Army Pfc. Madelyn Morrison, an Emlenton, Pennsylvania, native and combat medic assigned to the 299th Brigade Support Battalion, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, administers a COVID-19 vaccination to a patient at the Fair Park Community Vaccination Center (CVC) in Dallas, March 8, 2021. On this International Women’s Day, Morrison and her fellow service members from Fort Riley, Kansas, worked hard to provide the underserved communities with vaccine relief support. 1st Infantry Division Soldiers deployed to Dallas early February 2021 to provide support for Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) CVC’s. U.S. Northern Command, through U.S. Army North, remains committed to providing continued, flexible Department of Defense support to the Federal Emergency Management Agency as a part of the whole-of-government response to COVID-19.
