Contractors continue demolition of Building 256 in Area A of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, April 6, 2020. The large concrete structure originally known as the Fairfield Air Depot Vertical Engine Test Building was constructed in 1941 in response to the need for logistical and aircraft research services during the early years of World War II and served this purpose through 1999 according to the Historic American Engineering Record.
