As a medical social worker on the civilian side, Moran graduated from Kutztown University and completed her masters at University of Pittsburgh. Moran said she loves helping people, including the homeless and elderly, and wants to make a significant impact in the social work community. Moran said mental health is important and that the National Guard helped her become detail oriented and organized when helping people.

Moran loves the Tasmanian Devil as her favorite cartoon and prefers anything with cheese her in meal. Moran plans to spend time with her family and obtain another masters degree as she plans to commission in her military career.
