HAYS, Kan. – Chief Warrant Officer 3 Michael Schmidtberger, Field Maintenance Shop 1 shop foreman, shows off a work in progress for their outdoor shop sign Jan. 28, 2021. Part of their new sign is being finished in Salina as the former one became sun-bleached and faded over the years. The FMS 1 took first place at the National Guard Bureau for the annual Army Award for Maintenance Excellence in December 2020 in the Tables of Distribution and Allowances category.
