Petty Officer 3rd Class Daniel Lake, an electrician’s mate on the Coast Guard Cutter Angela McShan, enjoys his time back inside the ship after helping haul the towline on board and in icy conditions during a simulated disabled vessel drill on Feb. 18, 2021, in the Mid-Atlantic ocean. He leads the crew in underway hours on the cutter small boat and wears a dry suit as the standby engineer, ready for the call to crew the cutter small boat in case of emergency.
