Children from the Fort Greely Child Development Center watch in awe as Jeff Lipscomb, technical director, Cold Regions Test Center, demonstrates the fragility of a standard traffic cone in arctic temperatures. The children suited up to meet the extreme cold of minus fifty degrees inside the CRTC cold chamber, used to test military equipment in extreme cold weather.
