A U.S. Marine Corps UH-1Y Venom with Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron (HMLA) 469, Marine Aircraft Group 39, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (MAW), refuels at a Forward Arming and Refueling Point (FARP) during Exercise Winter Fury 21 on San Clemente Island, Calif., Feb. 16-19, 2021. Winter Fury 21 highlights 3rd MAW’s ability to fight near-peer adversary by employing all of the aircraft in its inventory, to include the F-35C Lighting II, AH-1Z Viper, UH-1Y Venom, F/A-18C Super Hornet, CH-53E Super Stallion, MV-22B Osprey, and the KC-130J Super Hercules.
