Capt. Jeffrey A. Holycross stands before his company with the 1st of the 118th Combined Arms Battalion. The soldiers, both from the 118th and the Ukrainian army came together Aug. 24 to celebrate the 21st anniversary of Ukrainian independence. The soldiers from the 118th are preparing for the multinational environment they will face during their upcoming deployment to Kosovo with the 218th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade.
