Ian Mendoza, a native of Mount Airy, Maryland, platoon commander of the 1st Force Reconnaissance Company, III Marine Expeditionary Force, conducts a safety brief in preparation for an exercise aboard the Ohio-class guided-missile submarine USS Ohio (SSGN 726).
