Paul Katz, a Military Sealift Command civil service mariner, tosses a heaving line to a fellow mariner while assisting to move a floating scaffold. Mariners are priming and painting the Military Sealift Command hospital ship USNS Mercy (T-AH 19) in preparation for the voyage back to her homeport after completing a four and a half month mission in Southeast Asia.
