A C-130 from the 146th Airlift Wing, California Air National Guard, equipped with the Modular Airborne Firefighting System 2 makes a fire retardant drop on the Pony Fire south of Mountain Home, Idaho, Aug. 10, 2012. C-130s with the MAFFS 2 system are an important part of the Forest Service's efforts to fight wildfires throughout the U. S. The 146th Airlift Wing joins two Air National Guard units and one Air Force Reserve that have been activated during this fire season to help control wildfires.
