U.S. Marine Corps Staff Sgt. Michael Robertson, operations chief for Camp Courtney is sprayed with oleoresin capsicum during Security Augmentation Force certification training on Camp Courtney, Okinawa, Japan, Feb. 5, 2021. SAF certification requires mastery of key skills to include proper employment of detainee handling procedures and non-lethal weapons tactics directly after contact with oleoresin capsicum, or “OC,” spray.
