U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Mahmoud A. Hamden, a transmissions system operator, with 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit participates in a hike during cold weather training in Setermoen, Norway, Jan. 27, 2021. Marines participated in cold weather training, lead by Norwegian Army instructors, to familiarize themselves with survival in extreme cold weather conditions. The training also enhances interoperability with allies and partners around the world. The Marines have practiced strict COVID-19 mitigations when interacting with those outside their unit as an extended precaution after their initial restriction of movement period at the beginning of the deployment.
