Second Lt. Andrew Shetland of Griswold, Conn., receives a standing ovation at the Joint Commissioning Ceremony Officer Candidate School Class 57 on Aug. 18 at Camp Niantic. Shetland stands in front of 17 other candidates, commanders, and guests after being name Distinguished Honor Graduate of his class. Shetland provided the audience with an insightful speech about the training and his outlook as a commissioned officer.
