Cory Bartholomew, 1st Reconnaissance Squadron U-2 Dragon Lady instructor pilot, dawns his parachute harness prior to entering the jet Dec. 22, 2020, at Beale Air Force Base, California. This flight marked Bartholomew’s 1,000th flight in the U-2. Bartholomew retired as a U-2 pilot in 2014 and went to fly for NASA and commercial airliners.
