MIHAIL KOGALNICEANU, Romania – Spc. Joshua Smith, Area Support Group-Black Sea, Religious Affairs non-commissioned officer in charge, Alabama National Guard, and Maj. Marshall Chavez, Senior Chaplain, Area Support Group-Black Sea carry gifts that were delivered by the American Red Cross and the Religious Support Team to Soldiers working on Christmas Eve here. Spc. Smith uses his position with the Religious Support Team to support both the Soldiers on base and people in need from the local community, and by doing so, helps the U.S. Army accomplish its mission and strengthens relationships with host nations.
