A simulated unknown substance is tested and collected during a hazardous material (HAZMAT) exercise at Al Dhafra Air Base, United Arab Emirates, Dec. 18, 2020. The exercise, which involved the use of chemical detection equipment and protective suits, tested Airmen assigned to the 380th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron emergency management flight on their response, documentation and removal of a potential HAZMAT threat from the area.
