U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Jason Gautreaux, intelligence analyst, 1st Landing Support Battalion, Combat Logistics Regiment 1, 1st Marine Logistics Group flies an unmanned aircraft system during Dawn Blitz/Steel Knight 21 at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms, California, Dec. 6, 2020. The purpose of this UAS is to survey the surrounding area and spot any possible threats. DB/SK-21 is an annual exercise that spans the western U.S. and California coast. It focuses on command and control capabilities, ground fires and maneuver warfare tactics, while testing Marines and sailors across a range of environments and preparing to counter aggression against a near-peer threat.
