U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Nolan P. McShane, a platoon sergeant with 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance (LAR) Battalion, 1st Marine Division, the recipient of the United Service Organization (USO) Service Member of the Year Award, receives the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal from Lt. Col. Robert F. May, the commanding officer of 1st LAR Battalion and Sgt. Maj. Charlie H. Clawson, the sergeant major of 1st LAR Battalion at Camp Pendleton, California, Dec. 17, 2020.
