    Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton

U.S. Marine Lance Cpl. Deanna Bonham, a parachute rigger with Air Delivery Platoon, Landing Support Company, 1st Transportation Support Battalion, 1st Marine Logistics Group, packs her parachute after completing a static line jump out of a KC-130J Hercules during a parachute operation at Drop Zone Basilone on Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, Dec. 10, 2020. During a static line jump, Marines’ parachutes are attached to the aircraft with a cord, and upon jumping out, the cord deploys the canopy and enables a safe landing. Air delivery Marines with 1st TSB coordinated the training opportunity to support various units around the base and enable Marines to gain proficiency and remain current with their airborne jump training.
