U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Joseph Desimone, a ground electronics transmissions systems maintainer with Communications Company, Combat Logistics Regiment 37, 3rd Marine Logistics Group (MLG), and Wesley Chapel, Florida native, places a sticky note on a mountain diagram during an interactive Professional Military Education (PME) workshop on Camp Kinser, Okinawa, Japan, Dec. 10, 2020. Enlisted PMEs provide a continuum of education for enlisted Marines, lance corporal through sergeant major, to improve leadership skills, sharpen critical and creative thinking skills, and deepen Marines’ understanding of warfighting concepts in distributed and joint environments. 3rd MLG, based out of Okinawa, Japan, is a forward deployed combat unit that serves as III Marine Expeditionary Force’s comprehensive logistics and combat service support backbone for operations throughout the Indo-Pacific area of responsibility.
