201207-N-NC885-3070 North Arabian Sea (Dec. 7, 2020) Operations Specialist 2nd Class George Rodriguez, from San Antonio, folds the national ensign during a remembrance ceremony aboard the guided-missile destroyer USS Sterett (DDG 104) commemorating the 79th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor, Dec. 7, 1941. Sterett is part of the Nimitz Carrier Strike Group and is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and Pacific through the Western Indian Ocean and three critical chokepoints to the free flow of global commerce.
