Staff Sgt. Chad Johnson, an in-flight refueling operator with the 155th Operations Squadron, refuels a KC-46A Pegasus Sept. 25, 2019, over the state of Missouri. “As a boom operator,” said Johnson. “I’ll be the one connecting our two aircrafts together that way we can ‘pass the gas’ so to speak.”
