Staff Sgt. Chad Johnson, an in-flight refueling operator with the 155th Operations Squadron, looks over his checklist before refueling a KC-46A Pegasus Sept. 25, 2019, over the state of Missouri. “So everything in aviation is following a checklist,” said Johnson. “There’s a lot of things going on and pretty much the best way to make sure you get everything done is to just follow a checklist to make it simple rather than trying to remember every single step.”
