YOKOSUKA, Japan (Nov. 19, 2020) – Cmdr. Benjamin Waite, right, public works officer (PWO) for Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY), and David Bienvenue, left, deputy PWO for CFAY present the runner up award for the 2019 USFJ and Host Nation Coordination Award to Ryouko Araki, second from left, and Motoji Sato from Public Works Department’s Environmental Program. The host nation team was responsible for turning over historical artifacts to the City of Yokosuka, including the oldest historic western-style house in eastern Japan. For 75 years, CFAY has provided, maintained, and operated base facilities and services in support of the U.S. 7th Fleet’s forward-deployed naval forces, tenant commands, and thousands of military civilian personnel and their families.
