Two desert bighorn sheep rams were spotted and accounted for by the Nellis Natural Resources Program and the Center for Environmental Management of Military Lands at Pillar Spring, Nevada, Nov. 15, 2020. Desert bighorn sheep can be typically spotted throughout the mountain ranges of the Nevada Test and Training Range. The mountains’ rocky terrain enables their hooves to gain enough traction to run up the mountains and escape predators. (U.S. Air Force photo by 2nd Lt. Nicolle E. Mathison)
