As part of a Department of Defense COVID-19 operation in North Dakota, Maj. Michael McCaffrie, a behavioral health officer and member of the 98th Combat and Operational Stress Control, a unit supporting the 62nd Medical Brigade, based out of Joint Base Lewis-McCord, Wash., participates in joint reception, staging, onward movement, and integration training in Bismarck, N.D., Nov. 21 2020. He and his team will assist with emotional and mental health during the joint service military support to North Dakota hospitals to mitigate COVID-19. The JRSOI process assists the Soldiers in being prepared to integrate into the civilian hospitals and work alongside their civilian counterparts.
