U.S. Army Brig. Gen. Robert Suter, the Joint Force Land Component Command All-Hazards Surgeon assigned to U.S. Army North, meets with U.S. Air Force Capt. Max Barnes, doctor of medicine, and Capt. Christine Longo, doctor of osteopathic medicine, both stationed at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, at Hospitals of Providence Transmountain, El Paso, Texas on Nov. 17, 2020. These U.S. Air Force physicians arrived in early November in response to a surge of COVID-19 hospitalizations in the area. U.S. Northern Command, through U.S. Army North, remains committed to providing flexible Department of Defense support to the Federal Emergency Management Agency in support of the whole-of-America COVID-19 response.
