U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Janson D. Boyles, the adjutant general of Mississippi, and Pam Presley Tolbert, a Gold Star Mother, place a ceremonial wreath during a Gold Star Family Memorial ceremony at Mississippi's Two Museums in Jackson, Miss., Nov. 10, 2020. Tolbert lost her son, U.S. Marine Cpl. Michael “Brandon” Presley, on December 14, 2005 after being wounded by a suicide bomber in Iraq. “It means everything to me that I’m able to be here to honor him.
