Michigan National Guard Soldiers with Michigan’s Task Force Spartan work with Gleaners of Pontiac, Michigan, Community Food Bank on Nov. 4, 2020. National Guard and Air National Guard members prepare pallets of food for distribution in the Gleaners warehouse, assembling approximately 1250 quarantine cold and dry food boxes daily, each weighing 31lbs.. The Food Bank warehouse feeds 1000 residential families daily. Since March, Michigan National Guard teams have supported food banks across Michigan, distributing more than 7 million pounds of food to local communities.
