Sgt. Juan Cervantes, a communications and navigations technicians with Marine Fighter Attack Training Squadron 101 and a Sacramento, Calif., native, receives the Navy Marine Corps Commendation Medal during a ceremony aboard Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., Aug. 8. Cervantes was awarded for performing CPR on a fellow service member with VMFAT-101 for 20 minutes with assistance from two other Marines.
