Marines with Marine Air Control Group 18 Detachment, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), prepare to fire a FIM-92 Stinger missile during a live fire training exercise at Range 2, Okinawa, Japan, Nov. 2, 2020. During the training the Marines fired FIM-92 Stinger missiles and shot the course of fire for table 3 and 5 in order to demonstrate and increase proficiency as a detachment in support of the MEU. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premier crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
