Col. Thomas Brittain, former commander of Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash., hands off the colors that represent JBLM's garrison command to Lt. Gen. Michael Ferriter, commanding general of the Army's Installation Management Command out of San Antonio, Texas, during a ceremony, Aug. 7, in which Brittain relinquished command of the installation to Col. H. Charles Hodges Jr. Brittain had led the base since July 2009.
